I really love the crust of this pizza. it's so fluffy and not too bready or greasy. I think joyride is too thick for my liking. this feels more light. The caesar was yummy I loved the breadcrumbs. The kale was a bit much I'd prefer it more massaged with oil so it's a bit less leafy. You order from your phone QR code. I liked the drinks I had also. This place gets packed for good reason. it's very chill in here and gets a little noisy when it's super busy.

Cellarmaker must make one of the best Detroit style pies in the Bay Area. The crust is so tasty and fluffy, with classic crispy cheese corners. Umamimous decision with cheese, shimeji brown mushrooms marinated in garlic oil, roasted garlic, miso butter, chives- a good pizza but not as umami forward as the name would have you think. There's outdoor seating here, so it's dog friendly. It's pretty busy so you might need to flag down the staff to order but they're welcoming and efficient.

Came here after a long shift. We came hungry and the food options were exactly what we needed. The garlic knots were fire!! That salad was tasty and I don't even eat salad like that. The beer selection was decent and I like the different size options. By the time the pizza came we were several orders of garlic knots in so I had one slice. The pizza was delicious and I took the rest to go. One thing I'll say is this place is an extremely loud but that's just how popular spots are. I would come back.

Honestly, I don't usually crave Detroit style pizza because the ones I've tried have always been way too greasy and heavy (looking at you, Joyride). But I recently had some Detroit style pizza at Cellarmaker, and it was amazing! I ordered the Umaminous Decision and absolutely loved it. The dough was light and airy, the toppings were flavorful, and the texture of the cheese was perfect. The beer selection was also pretty good. There were tons of different beers on tap, and I was also glad to see several sour beer options (not on tap though).

A great place for pizza. This is like a cheers bar where everyone knows each other. Detroit style pizza was oh so good and fluffy. Mushroom pizza used different style of mushrooms and it was oh so good.

We are always on the hunt for a good Detroit style pie. I loved the old Cellarmaker brewery and visited every time I was in San Francisco. The brewery has now moved across the bay but now they have this pizza joint and a lot of Cellarmaker beer on tap.... So honestly I think it only got better! There were six of us and we ordered a variety of pies. All the pies had great combinations of flavors and that amazing frico texture around the edges. We also tried every delicious beer on tap!

As your resident Detroit native, I have to say Cellarmaker knows how to make a great Detroit style pie! The dough was soft and perfectly cooked. The pizza wasn't super dense and the edges had the classic cheese crust you dream about. A solid A+ pie. I only got a few slices of cheese but I ll come back soon and try a full pie with more toppings. The beer selection and service was spot on as well. I have to admit, one of the best pies I've had in the Bay Area.

Their slice of tomato pie hit the spot! Crust was crunchy in all the right ways and tasted really good. Also split a gluten free pesto pie. One of the better gluten free crusts I've had but the sauce fell kinda flat with lack of flavor. The red sauce definitely takes the crown.

Let's make one thing clear right away. Cellarmaker is the best Detroit style pizza in SF. It's everything you want. The edges contain elite crispy cheese. They load up on pepperoni like it's going out of style. The tomato sauce is truly authentic. You can literally see the chunks of tomato in it. The dough has an identity crisis in a positive way. Because it looks like a hefty boy but the dough airy and light. It's a true Detroit style specimen. The only remaining question is where does Cellarmaker stack up against all pizza in SF? It's in the elite category no doubt. We got a major score coming that Cellarmaker should be very proud of. (4.7 Stars)
